Chocolate "Milk" Shake

Blend the following ingredients using a magic bullet, hand blender, or regular blender:
  • 1 frozen banana (an over-ripe banana will give more flavor, I like it, some don't)
  • 8 oz vanilla almond milk (skim, or other non-dairy milk)
  • 1 T cocoa
  • dash of cinnamon
  • splash of vanilla extract
  • 1 packet of sweetener (because my almond milk is unsweetened, yours may be sweetened and not need this, taste first)

Helpful Hints:
Peel your banana and place in sandwich bag before freezing. You don't have to freeze the banana, but it comes a little colder and creamer like a real ice cream milk shake if you do.

Other Options:
  • Add 1-2 T peanut butter for "Peanut Butter Cup" shake (there are alot of calories in nut butter, but great protein and good fat)
  • Add dry instant coffee for a frappuccino like flavor (w/ or with out the cocoa).
  • Leave out the cocoa for a "vanilla" shake.
